If chiropractic care stops after phase one, the chances of the injury or the condition repeating increases. To prevent the return of symptoms and pain, it is important that we continue treatment so our bodies have the proper support and guidance to heal properly.
It is in the second phase that your visits to the office will taper in frequency, depending on the course of care prescribed by your doctor. At this time you might be assigned some light exercises and stretches to incorporate into your daily routine to aid your body in the healing process.
Mild flare-ups of symptoms may occur and should not discourage you from continuing your treatment. It is during this time the body is healing and reconfiguring the alignment and use of your body’s core muscles. Your doctor can better help you understand, based on your condition, how long this phase will last.
